Jireh

Kumusta! My name is Jireh (jye-rah) and my pronouns are she/her. I started my time at Hilltop in 2018 during my last year of college working as a substitute/floater between all the different classrooms. I graduated at Seattle Pacific University with a major in Family and Consumer Sciences Secondary Education and double minored in Leadership Studies and Human Development and Family Studies. As well as a TEFL teaching certification. With being a floater, support educator and primary educator, I was able to gain experience with children of all different age groups from early preschool to school age. I love working with kids because of their curiosity and wonder for the world around them and applying what I learned from school. I’m a first-generation Filipina-American, former military brat, adventurer, artist, dog lover, and plant enthusiast! Outside of Hilltop, I enjoy exploring the city, spending time with friends and family, and running my two small business (a photography business and clay jewelry business). I’m stoked to learn more about ECE and getting to know your kids!
