I firmly believe in cultivating education as a practice that supports individual identities, cultural competencies, and fosters a positive relationship with learning. The facilitation of Anti-Bias Education has profoundly influenced and transformed my perspective. In my day-to-day curriculum activities, I adopt an asset-based approach, building upon children’s individual strengths, interests, and culturally rich pool of knowledge.

Acknowledging that every child’s individual culture shapes their opportunities from birth, my practice is centered on providing equal opportunities rather than merely equal treatment. I actively engage in actions to advance equity, including recognizing and addressing injustices, tackling systemic social inequalities, and educating others on these issues. My vision is to create an equitable community that values the assets of individuals and their cultural communities, fostering an environment where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
