Visual Tour

Architecture

Designed by an alumni parent and board member, Hilltop’s pale blue curving walls are meant to echo the nearby ship canal. The abundance of glass and peek-a-boo windows between spaces honors our commitment to transparency, communication, and connectedness. The original concrete floors showcase the history, structure, and function of the building.

Classroom environments

By sourcing unique pieces from garage sales and antique stores, we bring character, homeyness, and warmth into the space. Through comfortable furniture and soft elements, we create a welcoming home-away-from-home.

Play Yard and Outdoor Exploring

Located alongside the canal, Our Queen Anne location’s outdoor space has a climbing structure, sand pit, willow tunnel, outdoor easel, and garden. Children enjoy time outside at least twice a day, rain or shine, and often take walks to local parks.

Our Fremont location goes out for walks daily to explore different parks, community gardens, and local landmarks.

Studio

Inspired by the schools of Reggio Emilia, Italy, we have dedicated studio spaces for exploring art media and meeting in small groups. Each classroom has a small studio adjacent to their classroom space, as well as access to the central Community Studio.
