I am excited to be a Support Educator at our Fremont location this year! This is my ninth year as a member of the Hilltop faculty. During my tenure here, I’ve served as an educator at our Queen Anne location in several classrooms, helped facilitate school-wide projects, and co-presented a variety of workshops through our Institute program. I was born and raised a Wisconsinite but have come to call Seattle my home since 2012. I embarked on my teaching journey fourteen years ago, when I discovered a growing passion for early childhood education and the Reggio Emilia approach. I am so grateful to be a part of Hilltop because of how deeply committed the staff is to supporting all children & families, to personal & professional growth, and to anti-bias education & advocacy in early childhood. My purpose as an educator is to support every child to feel seen and empowered and to become an active participant within their classroom community and beyond. Outside of the classroom you might find me on the hiking trail, riding my bike, immersed in a good book or a knitting project, or working on my certification to become a professional coach this year. I look forward to connecting with you and your kiddos at Fremont!
