Upcoming Trainings in 2024/2025

Fall Series – 2024

October 16th, 6-8pm via Zoom:
Bias and Our Social Brain Amelia Bachleda & Marie Baeta of UW I-LABS

Register via Eventbrite: Bias and Our Social Brain

Workshop Description: Our brains are designed to make snap decisions and judgments to help us navigate a dynamic world, but sometimes this can work against us. This is especially true when we are working to counter stereotypes and biases. Join Amelia Bachleda and Marie Baeta from the University of Washington’s Institute for Learning & Brain Sciences (I-LABS) to hear some of the latest research about how young children form biases and stereotypes. We will discuss how our social brains have the tools to both reinforce and counter these biases.

Think of our conversation as a user’s guide for your social brain and an opportunity to identify strategies to help young children counter biases and build an informed relationship with their social brains, too.

Following your registration, anticipate a confirmation email with the live training session link 48 hours before the scheduled date. In case it doesn’t appear in your inbox, kindly check your junk mail. If the link remains elusive, reach out to our institute team at institute@hilltopcc.org for assistance. We offer certificates of participation for your attendance as well as STARS training hours (unless otherwise noted). We strive to ensure a seamless learning experience for you!
