Upcoming Trainings in 2024/2025

Winter Series – 2025

January 23rd, 5-7pm PST via Zoom:
Safe to Brave: Courageous Conversations –  Rosetta Lee

Register via Eventbrite: Safe to Brave – Courageous Conversations

Workshop Description: Talking about topics like gender, race, sexual orientation, and class can raise anxiety for many people, and yet we must have these conversations in our organizations and our lives in order to be more inclusive and change the world for the better. What are the fears and common pitfalls that keep us from broaching courageous conversations? And how can we bring empathy and respect to our conversations with folks who hold different political views than ourselves? Join us for this 2-hour workshop to increase your practical skills for responding to hurtful experiences, navigating opposing views & beliefs, and engaging in courageous conversations.

As parents, caretakers, and early childhood education professionals, we are often young children’s first introduction to anti-bias ideas and social justice actions. Before we can role-model and teach our children effectively about identity, diversity, and inclusion, as well as how to communicate respectfully when we disagree, we must first be able to engage in and practice these kinds of complex discussions with each other!

STAY TUNED for our February and March training events to be announced soon!
