Hilltop Children Center’s full-day infant and toddler program is for children six weeks to two years. Our classrooms are open from 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday and run from September to August.
Your child is one of your most precious gifts and we are honored to be a part of their journey from the very beginning. We ensure a smooth transition to communicating milestone achievements; we’re not a daycare, we’re an extension of your home.
Our highly trained infant and toddler primary educators’ partner with you to ensure your child’s developmental needs are met every step along the way. They create predictable routines and nurturing classroom environments that foster social and emotional development.
Through age-appropriate, natural materials inspired by our Reggio Emilia approach, your child will be introduced to sensory play, art, music, language, and fine/gross motor activities that are documented and shared with you through our daily activity log on BrightWheel.

Stories from the Classroom: Communicating Through Sign Language
We are at a point right now where everyone is going through major developmental milestones and growth, and one of the BIG one’s that everyone is working on is language! We encourage and support their budding skills in many ways and one of those is modeling basic sign language in the classroom, using signs for words like “eat”, “more”, “all done”, “ball”, “bottle”, “baby” as well a few others. To be even more intentional, we have put up pictures of children and adults using the signs and have even shown short clips of other babies and children using them.
Research has shown that babies who sign speak earlier than their peers and it can also encourage a non-verbal child to communicate with others. In our class, the older children’s communication is becoming clearer, and the younger children are mesmerized by the interactions this creates, resulting in even stronger interest! We are excited to see how this exploration unfolds in the coming weeks and months.
